My 2018 Reflection

On Jan. 1 of 2018, I wrote down a handful of goals that I wanted to accomplish by the end of the year. I recently found those goals and realized that I had forgotten about most of them (oops!), but that a few have stuck with me and have become daily habits of mine. Some of these goals are very personal, but I want to share with you because I want you to see me for who I truly am – please, no judgement.

2018 – The Year of ME

~I am unstoppable~

Mediate 2x/week

I am happy and proud to say that even though I forgot about this one, I actually mediate DAILY and it has done wonders for my anxiety, mental health, and decision-making skills!

Yoga 1x/week

This was going well for the first 3 months of the year. Once I started my new job, this was (sadly) one of the first things to go :/ I have been on and off, but not consistent, since with my yoga practice. Maybe 2019 will bring more yoga into my life?!

Weekly reflection & appreciation

I also forgot about this one, but around September I started journaling regularly, and have included a daily gratitude and reflection, so I give myself half-credit on this one!

Monthly goal planning – fitness account

I’m sad to say that I didn’t do this, not even once (lolz) BUT I’ve grown my fitness IG account into my only IG account, have launch my own website & biz, AND have many exciting changes coming in 2019 with the help of my business coach – WHOOP!

New job by April

I didn’t even know that I had this written down until I saw it. I actually had a new job by March, so that is cool. Then in July I was no longer employed and used that as a blessing in disguise to do my own damn thang!!!!

Listen more, Talk less

Still working on this. I would like to say that I am listening more and talking less, but I know this is something that I can still improve upon!

Exfoliate 1x/week

Hit or miss

Take care of skin

The first half of the year, eh, not so much, but around the summer, I got really into skin care and have experimented with different skin routines. I pretty have one down pat, but I feel like it will need to change soon!

Care more about others (AKA listen more)

Not to say I never cared about others before, but to care more. Reach out to friends more, use the actual phone to call someone, listen to their feelings. Again, I think I’ve grown a lot in this department in the past year, but there is always room for growth here!

Be A Boss, A Force of Empowerment

Well, I did become my own boss 😉, I hope in the past few months I’ve empowered others, but here’s the thing with empowerment, I don’t know if you every really know if you are empowering someone, so I have been working on teaching, and giving others the tools, to help make their lives easier. I think that is empowerment – to realize you have the power to make your life whatever you want it to be

Strong, independent, fearless, dream chaser

These must have been words I wanted myself to be/become. I know that I am strong and independent. Fearless? Well, it definitely comes and goes, but as long as it comes more than it goes, I’m happy! And dream chaser? You better freaking believe it. Every day I wake up chasing my dreams, every day I plan & take action to bring those dreams one step closer to a reality!

Read 10 min/day, 5x/week

I’d say I am pretty much on par with this one!

Grow that passive income!

Still working on it. I’ve grown my income, but that passive income has been a tricky one – stay tuned for 20-19 though =D

Write key learning (weekly)

Yeah, this is a straight no.. haha

Listen to 2 audio books/month

Also, a straight no. Though, when my work commute was long AF, I was probably on track with this one. Since I no longer have a commute, I don’t listen to audio books at all. However, I recently gotten into podcasts and have listening to over hundred since September!

SLOW DOWN, BE PATIENT, DON’T RUSH!

I’ve definitely slowed down my life and WOW that was a literal life changer! My patience has definitely grow in the past year, specifically the past 6 months, but there is still room for improvement. Don’t rush – I’m trying, it’s hard, but I’m trying. AKA I need more practice with this…

How did your goals for 2018 pan out? What goals are you setting for yourself in this bright and beautiful new year? I’d love to hear!

Thanks for supporting me this past year, you guys make everything I do, worth it & more <3

To a bright future!
